If you haven’t started using Myspace’s new PPC platform yet, check it out here. I heard about it a couple days ago from Ads 4 Dough. I’ve barely even looked at A4D’s offers yet but the fact that they stay on top of shit and tell their affiliates about stuff like this already makes it worth it to sign up with them, so I’d definitely recommend doing that too.

Myspace > Facebook. Why?

More users. That means more people seeing your ads. It also means better targeting and more niches to market to.

More relaxed. If you’ve ever ran ads on Facebook you know that it’s run by a bunch of dipshits who have no idea what they’re doing. News flash: if you deny 90% of people trying to buy ads (and legit ads at that), you make 90% less money than you would have if you had approved them. Somehow Facebook doesn’t seem to understand this and they deny everyone for everything. Myspace lets you do whatever the fuuuuuuck you want.

Better usability. The interface is amazing, very easy to use and very user-friendly. It took me about 10 seconds to learn everything there is to know about it.

Better ads. You can design your own 300×250 and/or 768×90 (something like that) ad images. No stupid 110×80 little squares where you can’t see shit.

Everything. Everything is just better. The only downside is it takes a VERY LONG TIME to get ads approved. Also Myspace users are a lot more likely to sign up for stupid shit, and a lot more likely to buy stupid shit, so conversions should be a lot higher. If you’ve tried some things that weren’t profitable on Facebook on Adwords, try them on Myspace and they might be.

Keep in mind that while Myspace is mainly kids, you don’t need to pick offers that are only targeted at kids. You can target any demographic you want, there’s so many people on Myspace it really doesn’t matter. In fact I’d recommend doing that, since it’s a social network you can target more specific demographics and niches than with something like Adwords. Try it out and see what you think, I’m interested to hear what you all think about it.

So it’s been awhile since I last updated, if you read my last post with all my new site ideas, I decided to go with the Facebook Babes thing and I’ve been planning it out, getting it designed and everything and talking to lawyers about how legal it actually is. The bottom line is it’s pretty borderline but all my stuff is pretty borderline because that’s usually where the money’s at so I just said fuck it let’s do it. That’s what I’ve been working on, hopefully it’ll be up within a week and I’ll post a link so ya’ll can check it out. I’m having a simple design made now, kinda similar to http://www.pallian.com/ because I didn’t think it really needed something extravagant to post pictures of hot girls, although I’m contemplating getting my boy Umar (the guy who did my Lambo Sweepstakes site) to design something insane for this one, but I’m not sure if it really needs something like that - let me know what you think, I definitely want some opinions on this.

I also said I was thinking about doing a dating advice blog because I consider myself a muthafukkin ballaaa wit da hoez. In fact I’ve been trying to pull off a foursome, yes you read that right, I tried it with two different groups of girls, the first didn’t work at all because one of the girls decided to get back with her queer ass boyfriend and she was the hottest of the three so I didn’t wanna do it anymore. The other ones are somewhat good to go, two of em seem like they are but the last girl (it’s like a group of three girls who are all “bff’s” and shit) is kinda cold. Anyone have any advice on how to pull this off? I could make a post about it later if ya’ll want lol. Actually I’m still thinking about doing the dating blog, I definitely have time to write a post a day but I don’t know if I’d have time to advertise it. any ideas?

So let’s get to the real stuff. How to make awesome landing pages. Search for your keywords to see what your competitors’ landing pages look like, and do that continuously until it’s fairly obvious which ones have stayed up for awhile. Obviously if someone is running the same ad for a decent time period, it must be successful, so all you have to do is copy it verbatim (the landing page, the ad copy, you name it). “But OMG’Z copying is bad!!!” Let’s be serious … Coke is the exact same thing as Pepsi, Gatorade is the exact same thing as Powerade, etc etc. If someone else is successful and you’re not, copy them until you are. The easiest way to copy a landing page is to click “File > Save Page As” - it’ll mess up some of the images but if you know how to cut and paste in Photoshop you can take a screenshot of the actual landing page on the net and replace the images in your saved HTML with the correct ones.

So as ya’ll know I haven’t been posting as much because I’ve been working on my Myspace layout site. I already have a shitload of layouts and stuff and I’ve already paid for everything, just waiting for the CMS (content management script - like the platform it runs on) and the design to be finished. Found an ultra badass graphic designer to do it and it’s gonna look about 1000000 times better than all the other layout sites on the net. It actually isn’t gonna take as much time as I thought it would to maintain it so I’m planning on starting another thing at the same time, I’ll have all my time right now to set it up and then it’ll be up and running by the time the Myspace site is done. I brainstormed a few ideas, my thought process when analyzing new ideas is something like - amount of initial investment, growth/scaling potential (how big it could grow - if you’re looking at a 50% return but it could only operate on a very small scale, its still a waste of time), profit expectations, how much time it’ll take to manage it (I usually disregard setup time because everything takes a long ass time to set up, the amount of time it takes to run it once it’s already up is what’s more important), marketing strategies and target markets as well as if I have experience with these markets. Here are some of my ideas:

Dating blog: A blog about dating advice and how to hook up with hot girls, stuff like that. I’m in my junior year of college (yup pretty young if you didn’t already know) and I’ve dated so many girls, done pretty much everything, had threesomes, picked up girls on Myspace, all that shit and I’m pretty well qualified to give advice about it and tell other guys how to do shit. The market for shit like this is huge and people are paying big bucks for dating gurus and all that bullshit so I think a free-to-read blog about it would be a hit. I could have some guest posts from hot girls I know and shit like that, lots of possibilities.

Animal video blog: Basically a video blog version of Cute Overload. Funny/cute videos of animals/pets mainly cats/dogs/rabbits stuff like that. Again the market for this stuff is huge, if I remember correctly Cute Overload became a million dollar site in less than a year and other sites like Lolcats and all that stuff are really popular. And I have two cats that are always doing goofy ass poses like sleeping on their backs and stuff like that lol.

Model site: Something along the lines of Babe BLVD, it’s a site where you pay ~$30 a month to be a member, and they have about 30 site models who post their pictures/videos/bios/interviews on the site for members to look at. I was thinking about doing the same thing but with all college girls and organizing them by school (only problem is I’m not sure if even just writing the name of the school is a copyright violation, anyone know? like if I were to have categories listed as “Harvard” “USC” and then like 5 girls for each school for example). Scaling would be ridiculous, 1000 members = $30k a month and it would probably have a lot more than 1000 members.

Facebook Babes site: I actually did this before, it was a blog where we just posted pictures of hot girls from Facebook/Myspace, it was extremely easy to maintain, could spend an hour on it and have 5-10 new posts every day. The first day it went up it had thousands of views with no paid advertising. Obviously the market for this is HUGE (every straight guy in the world lol) and there’s lots of promotion possibilities. The problem with the last site was that anyone could register as an author and post pics, and a bunch of girls got mad because their pics were being posted without them knowing. I don’t really understand why they’re mad because after all it just meant that they were hot, but we shut it down after awhile because of privacy violations and shit. I think if it did go up again we could just approve all the authors and ask girls before posting their pics. or get a paki host and do whatever we want

Lottery site: You pay $10 a month to be a member of the site and every week there are raffles for items like laptops, ipods, etc. there are also raffles for insane shit like tickets to Playboy mansion parties, win a date with a supermodel, have Lil Wayne come to your bday party, shit like that (and yeah I can actually get ahold of those things I’m not just talking outta my ass lol). Initial investment would be larger than the other sites but still not too big (I don’t know how much it would cost to set up the CMS, maybe a couple thousand?). So once you’re a member you buy as many raffle tickets as you want and we have a counter under each item (multiple items are up for raffle at the same time) telling you how many tickets for that item have already been bought. Tickets would be $1 or something. I’d probably also make it so you just buy credits and then use the credits as your raffle tickets (that way people will buy more than just 1 ticket at a time, they’ll buy a pack of credits and maybe not use them all, so I make more money).

My favorite (by far) ideas are the dating blog and the Facebook babes blog. Initial investment is very small, easy to set up, easy to promote and I’m already familiar with the markets, and easy to maintain. The dating blog would probably be my favorite idea if ya’ll think the market for it is as big as the market for the Facebook babes site, because it would be so easy to write a post a day rather than looking for hot girls and/or paying people to look for them. could also possibly combine the ideas like a Facebook babes / dating advice all in one, who knows lol. I’d really like to hear your feedback, ideas, suggestions, or even entirely new ideas if you have any. I’m looking to do this asap so I can buy the 09 SL65 the day it appears lol. So hit me with some feedback!

been really busy lately but i felt like posting something and a few people have been asking me to go into more detail about some of my marketing, so i thought i’d just put this out there since i’ve been focusing on my myspace site and haven’t done any affiliate marketing in a long time. i know this is kinda rushed but im busy pretty much all the time now, i just didnt want yall to think i was leaving

one of my landing pages was www.ringtonepimps.net and my keywords were “soulja boy ringtones” “soulja boy ring tones” and a few names of songs, dont remember which ones i think one was yuaaaah and the other was donk. and for the record, i hate soulja boy, but teenage girls like him and want to buy his ringtones so it doesnt matter. with ringtones you dont make a lot per lead because of the click costs and epc is usually just a little above that. the fact that all the landing pages now cant mislead people into thinking its free when its not makes it a lot harder and more ridiculous so unless you have some cash to invest its probably not worth it. the first page i had was just a straight redirect until i realized it wasnt such a good idea. both of them made decent money but you really have to already have a huge pile of cash to put in if you want to go anywhere with it

the myspace site is progressing really well, i already have about 800 layouts and i have my buddy working on a design, the cms is almost done i dont know what the fuck is taking the dude so long but it should be done in the next week. im thinking about taking a big break from dating too, its really just starting to annoy me for a lot of reasons. (a) girls are clingy and i dont have time for stupid bullshit like that, once a week is enough for me (b) i date a shitload of girls and havent found a single one that i care about in the slightest (c) apparently i look like im “17 or 18″ and highschool girls are always talking to me and then i waste time talking to them before i find out they’re only in god damn highschool THAT REALLY ANNOYS ME BECAUSE I HATE WASTING TIME MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE, I CAN NOT STAND ITTTT LOL (d) when girls talk about their drama with their boyfriend and how they’re all sad because they broke up, or when they talk about how much they’re in love and shit, i just find it so trivial and ridiculous (e) i dont know it just seems like a waste of time. if i have a choice between going out with an ultra hot girl and fucking around with my buddies i always choose my buddies, and no im not gay. i dunno i just felt like putting that out there lol

UPDATE: Just wanted to know what you all thought about these last few posts. My traffic has actually been going up but comments have been going way down. Let me know what posts you like and don’t like and I’ll be able to write more about some of the more popular topics. Thanks.

I’ve said this many many many times and I’m saying it again: the DESIGN and IMAGE of your site/product is almost as important, if not more important, than the actual quality of the site/product. If you see a website that looks unprofessional, you’re likely to assume the company is unprofessional and that their product is poor quality. This is especially true for “make money online” blogs and landing pages offering products related to making money - if you can’t even afford a few hundred dollars for a decent site design, why would anyone believe that you can show them how to make money? It doesn’t make any sense.

I’ve received lots of emails asking who does my designs, namely for this site (Stak Loaded) and the Lambo Sweepstakes project I launched a while back. I designed Stak Loaded myself, based it off the designs of a couple other blogs that I liked but for the most part I did all the Photoshopping and coding myself. I don’t really have time to do designs for other people but if you have a $1000+ budget and would like me to do something for you, send me an email. Other than that, I’d recommend looking around at graphic design forums and just Googling “blog designer” or “graphic designer” and checking people out. I WOULDN’T recommend posting projects on DP, Get a Free Lancer, or any of those sites, because 99% of the people who contact you are just bullshitters who don’t know the first thing about creating effective designs. It’s always better to seek people out yourself rather than have them come to you.

Lambo Sweepstakes [screenshot] was designed by Umar Salman. I’m a very picky dude and it literally took me months to find a designer I liked, but as soon as I saw his portfolio I contacted him, paid him the next day, and the design was finished within a week. I highly recommend him and I’ll definitely be working with him on future projects. If you have a $1500+ budget and would like to work with Umar, email him here and tell him you liked his work on Lambo Sweepstakes (Lambo Sweepstakes, not Stak Loaded!) and he’ll reply almost instantly.

If anyone knows of any other good web/graphic designers, please post them up in the comments so I can check them out!

I’d also like to reiterate that Host Gator is the worst hosting company in the history of the internet. They decided to reset my password for their own amusement again, without prior notification of course, and then made me change it to something new, saying I couldn’t use any of the passwords I had used in the past. This happened a little while ago and today I tried logging into my FTP account but of course I couldn’t remember the new password they had given me. So now I can’t login to my FTP which also means I can’t login to my cpanel. If you try to visit this site and it doesn’t show up one day, you now know the reason: Host Gator = FAIL.

You work all the time, you risk money, you lose money, you struggle with important decisions, and you’re just stressed the fuck out all the time. Too much stress is very unhealthy not only because it makes you age a lot faster (it does), but also because it makes you not think straight and you might end up making the wrong decisions, or playing it too safe. When I start a new venture, be it a new site, a new ad campaign, or whatever, I definitely spend a lot of time planning it out and making sure everything looks good, but I don’t think, “Oh shit this is so huge, if it fucks up, I’m gonna lose a lotta money and be pissed as hell.” I took a risk awhile ago with a really obscure offer that I thought I could push, spent about $1000 total and made less than half of it back, but I really didn’t care, just said fuck it and called it a day. A couple of my friends thought I was crazy and they said they’d never have spent so much money like that right off the bat, and if they had, they’d have been extremely pissed and stressed out that it didn’t work out. But here’s what I think - it doesn’t really matter. Losing a few dollars really doesn’t impact my life or ruin any of my other campaigns. It’s not like I gambled away my life savings. So it’s not really that big a deal. If you get into the mindstate “oh I can’t do this, I can’t do that, it’s too risky” you’ll never make any money.

If you’ve ever taken a test skills or study skills class, they also tell you not to stress too much about tests. It’s been proven that if you go into it thinking “holy shit this is a huge test, if I fail it my life is fucked” you’ll do worse than if you go into it thinking “this is important so I need to do a good job, but if I get a C instead of an A it’s not like it’s gonna kill me.”

If you’re way too stressed, you might want to try changing up the way you think. The next best cure for stress is comedy (not sex, surprisingly), so hit up those torrents and download a few movies and just sit back and have fun. I also recently had a funny conversation with some chick who messaged me on Myspace (yeah I have a Myspace, sue me lol … seriously Myspace is a great place to meet girls, and HOT ones, if you haven’t tried it I definitely recommend it ). At first I just blew her off but I was with one of my buddies from highschool and he thought it would be funny to be really mean to her, just for kicks (lol). Here’s the convo, along with a little commentary, hopefully it gives you a few laughs:

random slut: hey stud i answered your paper
me: lol thanks
her: im hannah did you see my pic yet?
me: nah im at work
her: ok but im very hot so you might want to put some shades on or you’ll burn up im all for making a man horny
me: [ignores her]
her: if you want ill give you pleasure before bed
me: lol wtf
her: well you know how it is you tell me what you want to do to me and ill respond in that way
me: wtf you talkin about
her: what do you mean wtf i was talking about making you horny
me: [ignores and hopes she wont say anything else]
her: [waits awhile]
her: whats happenin babe?
me: yo bitch i just made a fatass sandwich and stuck it in my ass and farted real loud bet u still wanna eat it
her: ohh baby i woulnt eat it but i’m horny and in need of a sex mate i wana fuck till i cant fuck nomore
me: ur so fuckin ugly i cant stand lookin at u bitch dig a hole and bury ur fat ugly ass
her: what happened 2 whats happenin babe an hey sexy no writin no see i really want u
me: yo i tell you what you should do, take a shit and put it between some bread and eat it like a fuckin sandwich. do that shit bitch
her: knw what youre an ass an 2 think i was interested in u .ughh
me: hell to the yeah bitch

I was talking to someone last night who was telling me about an awesome site she joined where she would visit a bunch of sites and click on their ads a bunch of times and then get paid a bunch of money. I was like, “Uhhh yeah, that’s illegal,” to which she replied, “Nah I’m pretty sure it’s not,” to which I replied, “Uhhh yeah it is, fuckin noob.” I’m sure a lot of you already know that this is what we like to refer to as “click fraud,” which basically consists of telling people to click on your ads or (in the uber noob case) clicking on your own ads in an attempt to artificially inflate your CTR. This is illegal because you’re getting paid for fraudulent clicks and wasting the advertiser’s money. This is a totally stupid way to get banned from all of your ad networks because it’s extremely easy for them to figure out you’re doing it.

There are lots of ways to commit click fraud, the simplest is by clicking on your own ads. The next step up is to tell your friends to click on your ads. The next step up involves joining forums where you click on someone else’s ads and they click on yours, paying people to click on your ads, etc. You always get caught, banned, and they take the money back anyway. But hey, let’s assume you do find a way to do this without your ad network finding out. You’re getting tens of thousands of fake clicks a day, they have no proof that you’re doing it, and you’re raking in the cash. You do that for a day or two and then you get banned anyway. But how???

Let’s take Adsense for example. They keep data on every keyword’s average CTR, determined by the average of every publisher’s CTR who is displaying ads for that keyword. So for example if there are three publishers displaying ads for “asdfasdfasdf,” one of them gets a 1% CTR, one gets a 3% CTR, and the other gets a 5% CTR, Adsense knows that the average CTR for “asdfasdfasdf” is 3%. So let’s say you’re running a site and “asdfasdfasdf” ads are displayed on your site, you generate huge amounts of fraudulent clicks and receive a 30% CTR. Google sees that your CTR is 10 times as much as the average, and even though they have no proof or evidence that you are cheating them, they say, “Well we’re just gonna assume he’s cheating, count those extra clicks as invalid clicks, and then ban him, just to be on the safe side.” And they’ll do that. So even if you “get away” with cheating, as soon as they even THINK you’re cheating, they’ll take the money back and you won’t get shit.

So as I was explaining this, she says “well you’re one to talk, you do all these blackhat things and scam people all the time.” Actually, I don’t. Blackhat marketing and scamming are totally separate things. Blackhat means “unethical but not illegal” and scamming means “unethical and illegal.” Even the “unethical” part of blackhat can be debated, and one person could think a certain method is unethical while another could think it perfectly ethical. And if you’re reading this site, you probably don’t care anyway. The point is that SCAMMING is bad, if you SCAM people you are a deuschebag and if you’re making any significant amount of money you’ll eventually get caught. BLACKHAT is not bad, and you can do it all you want.

I’m back! I haven’t posted in awhile because I’ve been researching a few new ideas and trying to decide what to do next. I started peddling ringtones a little while ago, something that most people don’t want to get into because it’s ultra competitive and there’s literally no way to rank for it unless you have a million dollar budget, which makes all your SEO knowledge useless and leaves you to just PPC and social networks. But at the same time, a lot of advertisers don’t like social network traffic (read: “Myspace”) so that leaves you with just PPC. And with millions of other people PPC’ing the same ringtone offers as you, it doesn’t seem very appealing. So I knew I didn’t want to drop six figures into a PPC campaign for something I had no experience with, but I wanted to try it anyway and see how I’d fair.

I picked a couple offers from different networks and started running basic ads, including a few different artist and song names and targeting those keywords rather than just “ringtones” or “hiphop ringtones” in general, which would have been way too expensive. That’s about it really, I redirected them through a domain I had sitting around, didn’t even buy a new one or create a landing page or anything. And while I’m not gonna be able to buy a new Benz after doing this, it’s surprisingly easy to pull in an extra $50-100 a day for literally ten minutes of work. I’d say that’s definitely worth it.

But ringtones aren’t the only thing I’ve been doing. I was checking out DN Scoop a couple weeks ago and saw a Myspace layout site going for $600,000. Yeah, you read that right. If I had been drinking milk it would have shot out of my nose, so I decided to do a little research and see exactly how the fuck this site was worth the price of a new house. Apparently the guy who owns it is an 18 year old CS addict making $30k a month because of the sheer volume of traffic he receives and the huge number of ads slapped up in the most blatantly ridiculous places. So I thought, “Hey, I’m the motherfucking king of Myspace marketing, maybe I should look into starting a Myspace layout site … LOL!” I started talking to a few people who ran layout sites and learned a lot about how to start one and how they generate traffic, and THAT’S when I decided I wanted to do it. Why? Because the huge majority of these guys have no idea what SEO is. They barely understand link building. And shit, I know my SEO, I know my social network marketing, I should be able to rape these fuckers and rank in no time.

Most of these sites buy a script that basically generates the site for them and all they have to do is upload layouts into a folder on their server and it displays them on the site (like uploading themes to Wordpress). My first idea was to scrap that idea and customize a Wordpress theme to look like a layout site, since we all know Wordpress is the king of SEO’ing itself (grammar? lol). I could also have an RSS feed where people can subscribe to be notified of new layouts. It would also be pretty easy to buy some bullshit links on DP as well as network with other Myspace layout sites, since there are just SO MANY of them. Most of them don’t understand the concept of anchor text and they just link to each other using whatever the fuck they feel like, such as “Joe Blow’s Site!” And yeah that helps if you have a shitload of links but if he had just added the word “layout” in there it would have taken an extra half a second to type and generated a lot more traffic. It actually seems pretty easy, and the costs are extremely low (I could set up the entire thing and have thousands of layouts on there for less than $1000), so I’m pretty sure I’m gonna go ahead and do it. If anyone has any ideas (or sites somewhat related to Myspace / layouts and you want to trade links), let me know!

A lot of Facebook groups related to making money, affiliate marketing, network building, etc have been popping up lately, and judging by the number of group invitations I get, every time someone creates a new group they go through the member list of every other group and invite every single person they see. Facebook is a great tool for networking as well as keeping in touch with people, but it’s getting harder and harder to filter through all the bullshit. Every other Facebook group looks like a copy and paste of a poorly written landing page offering something like “join my group and I’ll teach you how to make $100k a month!” Hopefully no one here has been sucked into any of these ridiculous scams.

Facebook groups are actually a very good way to build a network because people are a lot more prone to accept a group invitation than they are to join a mailing list, and groups work in essentially the same way as lists because they give you the ability to post updates and message all of the members whenever you want. If anyone here has or is planning on starting a Facebook group (I’m talking about something for the purposes of networking or making money, not a “class of 08 rocks!” group), here’s a couple tips for maximizing your ROI:

Don’t send millions of messages a day. I joined about 15 groups and left all but 3 of them because a lot of them were sending out multiple messages every single day, and they were all spam messages reiterating the same information and sending me to poorly designed landing pages for shitty products. Send mass messages 2 or 3 times a week at the most, or people will get fed up with them and leave, and you’ve just turned away a potential lead. If you have small updates you’d like to share, just update your page to add the new information, and save the mass messaging for really important news.

Make it believable. I’ve talked about this before and now I’m talking about it again. If you want people to believe you actually know what you’re talking about, you need to show some credentials. A good example of what NOT to do is 100k Dream Team. I saw someone advertising this on Facebook and since the girl posting it looked pretty hot, I clicked it to see what it was, and I was greeted with the most ridiculous bullshit I’d ever seen in my life. She makes $100k a month, yet for some reason she decided not to hire a professional designer and instead to design the entire site herself in Microsoft Paint. And I’m sure that yellow Lambo actually belongs to her and she didn’t just steal the picture from Google Images. Let’s be serious - if you want people to believe you’re making money, at least make yourself reasonably believable.

Don’t steal. At least half of the groups that I left due to spam messaging were actually copying each other’s messages and sending them to their own groups. I received the exact same message multiple times, just from different people. Even if I were interested in their bullshit, there would have been no point staying in more than one of the groups if they’re just going to repeat the same information. That’s another problem I see with a lot of these “make money online” blogs - all their topics have already been discussed hundreds of times and they don’t have any fresh info or even an original take on old info. Come on now.

Another thing you need to know is that the Facebook crowd is actually generally a lot smarter than your typical audience. This means that it’s a lot harder to rip them off and you’ll actually need to be smart with your marketing and develop some quality strategies rather than just spamming. A lot of what works on PPC networks and forums will not work on Facebook, so my advice would be to sign up, get familiar with how it works and who uses it, check out some of the groups and see which ones are successful and what they do (what their pages look like, how often they send messages, how they write their messages, their group image, etc) and then go from there.
