Having People Do Your Work For You

Published by SL on May 13, 2008 under Business skills, Do nothing make money

If you want to be able to make money doing nothing, you have to find someone who is willing to do the something so you can do the nothing. Fortunately, there are many ways to “manipulate” people into doing these things for you.

  • Offering a percentage of the profits: You show them you are the expert and that they need to work for you if they want to succeed. Since you already have experience, it will be much easier for them to work for you and learn how everything works, rather than going off on their own and figuring everything out the hard way. If I see someone is motivated and willing to put in the work, I’ll offer them a percentage of the profits, typically 10-15%. Oftentimes, they are very happy with this amount and are willing to do whatever I tell them needs to be done. If they push for more, tell them they’re only doing 10% of the work and you’re working your ass off doing the other 90%. It doesn’t matter if it’s true or not, you’re trying to make money, not friends.
  • “Flossing”: This is by far the easiest and my personal favorite method to get people to do your work for you. Buy some expensive things and say you bought them with the money you earned from your business (the one you’re trying to get them to work for). I bought a brand new Dell 2407WFP-HC (a $700 24″ monitor) about a year ago and everyone who saw it was impressed. When I bought a $1500 sound system a few weeks later, everyone was even more impressed and asked how in the world I had so much money, still being in school and all. The ones who I thought would be hard working and would be able to help me make money, I told them about what I was doing (which at the time was promoting poker affiliate sites), showed them what to do, and soon enough, I wasn’t doing shit and they were doing all the landing page setups, keyword research, and advertising, while giving me 85% of the profits. How nice is that?

Stak Loaded: 1st Post

Published by SL on May 13, 2008 under Random

I’ve been doing blogging and affiliate marketing solely for the purpose of inflating my bank account, and I finally decided I’d like to start a new project, something fun. Stak Loaded is a blog about “how to make money doing nothing.” Well, almost nothing. A lot of the methods I’ll be showing you do require some setup time, but if you’ve been sitting at your desk for the majority of your life trying to figure out how to market your site, say goodbye to that lifestyle. SL differs from a typical “make money online” blog in that everything I’ll be posting about is pure original content, marketing strategies I’ve personally tested and found to be successful. I’ll also be posting about important business skills and marketing tactics that will work for any business.

SL is a “for fun” project for me and I’d like to keep it very informal, so if I end up posting something about how I went on an Entourage (the best show in the history of TV) marathon, or how I got hammered at a party and hooked up with my friend’s sister’s mom’s daughter’s friend, don’t leave me those “wtf does this have to do with blogging” comments, because I won’t give a dick. I encourage you to try all of the strategies I’ll be posting about as most of them will require little to no time to implement, so if you’re skeptical about something, just try it. And if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to leave a comment - I’ll do my best to answer each and every one of you.

So with that, I’m off to watch a few episodes of Entourage. I’ll start posting tomorrow

Stak Loaded: what’s that?
